A globally recognized trading strategist and pioneering force in electronic trading standards, Mr. Wright brings more than five decades of multi-asset trading, market structure innovation, and executive leadership across both the buy- and sell-side.

Widely acknowledged for his foundational contributions to electronic trading, Mr. Wright joined the European FIX Protocol Committee in 1994 and served as Buy-side Chairman for 3 years. He was instrumental in the launch of Europe’s first FIX order at DresdnerRCM in 1998 and played a critical role in the development of the London Stock Exchange’s FIX Hub, and has remained an influential advisor to leading OMS/EMS vendors and enterprise trading platforms.

Other highlights of Mr. Wright’s distinguished career include senior roles at prominent institutions such as Barings Asset Management, Dresdner RCM, and Kleinwort Benson, where he served as Global Head of Trading. He has built and led global trading operations across London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Boston, establishing trading desks and driving strategic transformation at scale.

In addition to his market structure expertise, Mr. Wright has a proven track record in the design and implementation of Order and Execution Management Systems. He oversaw the development of SimCorp’s front office solution following its acquisition of Solution Forge and has successfully introduced three OMS platforms to the market.

Mr. Wright is currently Chairman of the JPSB Group and continues to serve as a valued advisor to sovereign wealth funds and global financial entities. His insights into electronic trading, algorithmic strategy, smart order routing, and alpha capture methodologies have made him a trusted voice across the industry.
